Durham Region’s Spark Centre launched its brand in 2011 and from the beginning had a mission to assist high growth businesses with commercialization through mentorship and advisory services. Kleurvision (an alumni of Spark Centre) was contracted in 2013 to help develop a web strategy that targeted the entrepreneur community in Durham regarding the services they offered and the companies that they supported.
As large area of concern for Spark Centre was creating a louder voice. To achieve a stronger position as the industry leader we implemented the appropriate tools to manage a news, resources, and partnership network.
Our primary goal was to ensure that the Spark website had a clear message. Since the concept of Spark Centre was relatively new, many entrepreneurs or soon-to-be entrepreneurs did not know that the Spark Centre existed or if they did, what services they could offer. We made sure that the points of engagement were front and centre, and that the services they offered entrepreneurs took precedent over the organization’s history and governance.
The entrepreneurship community in Durham Region needed to know what Spark Centre could do for them, and what they should expect from becoming a client.

Kleurvision was responsible for helping Spark Centre build an online presence that would scale with the brand as they grew. Leveraging the power of WordPress as a content management platform, we were able to develop a responsive, engaging, and on-brand solution that would grow elegantly with the dynamic momentum of Spark Centre.
