Since 2017, Old Flame has trusted Kleurvision to present their brand in not only a digital way but also in their packaging to their audience. In 2020 things changed rapidly. Beyond marketing the brand, it became extremely important to enable online sales through a unified eCommerce strategy.
The flagship location for Old Flame Brewing Co. is a staple in downtown Port Perry. Having brought not only a craft brewery to the small town northeast of Toronto, Old Flame brought a new vibe to the shores of Lake Scugog. In September 2013, Old Flame took over a historic building and has created not only its unique brewing space but maintained the heritage of the old carriage building. By crafting multi-award winning beers at this location, Old Flame has ensured that the history of Port Perry and the love of excellent craft beer is something that visitors will remember. Kleurvision was brought in to assist with initial website design, branding and development, and switched gears to eCommerce in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic forced the business to pivot to online sales. We quickly went to work together, which grew into an entirely new custom-built eCommerce website for Old Flame craft beer, merchandise and seasonal releases.
In the summer of 2020, Old Flame asked us to help with can designs for their summer sampler Fruit Basket series. This was a lot of fun for our lead designer, who has been intrinsically involved with Old Flame design work from the beginning of our relationship together. The fruit beers show the diversity and quality that goes into the crafting the beers from Old Flame - and customers had such a strong affinity for the series that they had to make a comeback as the summer went on!
We love Port Perry (it’s our home). We also love craft beer. So that means that we really love our neighbours - the crew at Old Flame Brewing Co. who are less than 50’ from our front door. Kleurvision and Old Flame have had a fantastic working partnership over the years, working on ensuring the brand creative is elevated to the level that the product is brewed. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020 and things shut down across the province, the Old Flame team jumped at the opportunity to have us help them whip together an eCommerce store that allowed their customers to shop online and be eligible for next day delivery in Durham Region, as well as shipping across Ontario, or curbside pick up. As the dust settled from the initial panic of the lockdown, KV in collaboration with the amazing marketing team at Old Flame met for an outdoor, masked-up, socially distanced whiteboard session, where the new Old Flame website was born. Customer first, mobile centric, and all about the rich and premium Old Flame experience.
